Part of the CloverWoo restaurant toolkit

Take tips at WooCommerce checkout

Your in-store customers tip on the Clover terminal. Your online customers should get the same chance — and the tip should land in the same account. CloverWoo adds a proper tipping step to WooCommerce checkout that flows straight to Clover.

Preset % or flat amounts

Offer 10/15/20% buttons, fixed-amount buttons, a custom field, and a no-tip option. You set the defaults.

Flows to your Clover account

Charged through the Clover gateway, so tips land in your Clover merchant account and appear on the receipt and in reporting.

Scoped by order type

Show tipping everywhere, or only on dine-in / pickup — your call, alongside the rest of the restaurant toolkit.

Why most plugins can't do this

A generic WooCommerce “tip” plugin can add a fee line — but the money goes to whatever gateway you use, and it never reconciles with your Clover reporting. Because CloverWoo is your Clover payment gateway, the tip is captured in the same charge and settles into the same Clover account as your in-store tips. One number, one report, no manual reconciliation. See the full setup guide →

FAQ

Tipping — FAQ

Can customers leave a tip on a WooCommerce order?

Yes. CloverWoo adds a tipping step at checkout with configurable preset percentages (e.g. 10/15/20%), a custom-amount option, and a no-tip option. The tip is added to the order total and charged together with the order through your Clover payment gateway.

Does the tip actually reach my Clover account?

Yes. Because the payment is processed through Clover, the tip is captured as part of the charge and lands in your Clover merchant account — it appears on the receipt and in your Clover reporting alongside the sale, not as a separate manual step.

Can I offer percentage tips and flat-amount tips?

Both. You can configure preset percentages of the order subtotal and/or fixed-amount buttons, plus a free-entry custom field. You control the defaults and whether tipping shows on all orders or only certain order types (e.g. dine-in or pickup).

Will tips show correctly in reports and refunds?

Yes. The tip is part of the order total, so it flows through WooCommerce order reporting and Clover settlement. If you refund an order, the refund handles the order amount and tip together per your refund settings.
